Wall Street closes slightly lower as AI weakness offsets broader gains
US markets closed marginally lower on Friday as sharp losses in chip and AI-related stocks outweighed gains in healthcare and other defensive sectors.
The S&P 500 slipped 0.05% to 7,353.95, the Dow fell 0.1% to 51,876.11, and the Nasdaq declined 0.2% to 25,297.62.
