MSTRpay’s Emerging-Market Expansion Now Spans 46 Countries

MSTRpay’s Emerging-Market Expansion Now Spans 46 Countries

The fintech company is building a structured international network across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean.

September 24, 2026

MSTRpay’s international market-development footprint now spans 46 countries, marking a significant expansion of the company’s emerging-markets strategy.

Download the MSTRpay app Download the MSTRpay app Download the MSTRpay app

The expansion is being coordinated through MSTRpay’s Strategic Market Access Partnership (SMAP™️) Framework, which provides a structured route from initial market contact to local representation, strategic partnership, validation and future commercial activation.

The current 46-country footprint includes:

  • Five countries with active Strategic Partnership MOUs
  • Three countries with proposed MOUs under evaluation
  • Thirty-eight additional countries where initial market-entry activity has commenced

Together, these markets form one connected international development programme.

MSTRpay is not approaching the 46 countries as identical or simultaneous commercial launches. Each market is progressing according to its own level of readiness, local relationships, regulatory environment and commercial potential.

Initial activities may include establishing local representation, identifying prospective agents, developing relationships with financial institutions and strategic partners, and evaluating the conditions required for longer-term operations.

“This is no longer simply a list of countries we may enter in the future,” MSTRpay said. “We have started building the relationships and local structures required to move forward. Some markets are already operating under signed partnership frameworks, while others are in evaluation or at the initial market-development stage.”

Through SMAP™️, MSTRpay can develop multiple markets within one coordinated system while maintaining separate verification, compliance and implementation requirements for each country.

The framework is designed to help the company identify credible partners, understand local conditions and measure market potential before committing to permanent operating structures.

MSTRpay’s developing footprint now reaches across some of the world’s most dynamic growth regions. The network may eventually support the introduction of the company’s wallet, payment, merchant, financial-education and wider ecosystem services, subject to local regulation, authorised financial partners and operational readiness.

The company also views the 46-country network as an important strategic asset for its future merger partners. It provides an established route into markets that can otherwise require substantial time, local knowledge and relationship-building to access.

MSTRpay will now focus on progressing selected countries through verification, partnership development and controlled market validation.

The objective is not expansion for its own sake. It is to build a compliant and scalable international platform capable of connecting more people to financial services, knowledge and economic opportunity.

Rising US bond yields and Wednesday’s losses on Wall Street set a cautious backdrop. Japan leads the gains The Nikkei 225 opened at 65,476.44, up 457.49 points, and rose further in morning trading as interest in technology and chip shares supported the market. South Korea’s market was closed for the Chuseok holiday. Other Asian markets slip In early trading, Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 fell 0.7%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng lost 0.5% and the Shanghai Composite declined 0.8%. The split across the region showed that Japan’s technology led gains had not carried through to the wider market. Wall Street sets a cautious tone US shares closed lower on Wednesday. The S&P 500 fell 0.8%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 0.7% and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.1%. The US ten-year Treasury yield climbed to 5.10% from 4.96%, adding to concern about how long borrowing costs may remain elevated. Europe has yet to open At the time of writing, European cash markets had not opened, and the US trading day was still ahead. Thursday’s opening picture is therefore an Asian one: strength in Japan alongside losses elsewhere in the region, with investors watching bond yields and energy prices for the next signal.
