Ukrainian forces continue to advance and have retaken more land in regions illegally annexed by Russia, which is confirmed by maps published by the Russian Defense Ministry, reports AFP.
The maps show that Russia no longer has control over the village of Dudtjany on the Dnieper River in the Kherson region.
According to Igor Konashenkov, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, “numerically superior” Ukrainian tanks have “driven a deep wedge” south of the village of Zolota Balka, which previously formed the front line on the Dnieper. According to him, Russian forces have killed around 130 Ukrainian soldiers in the fighting.
