According to the Riksbank’s most important measure CPIF, the inflation rate landed at 7.6 percent in April, new figures from Statistics Norway show. Which can be compared with 8 percent in March.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages were 1.2 percent cheaper in April compared to March this year, the authority writes.
The last time the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages went down was in November 2021. After that, prices went up by over 25 percent before there was now a downward turn, says Carl Mårtensson, price statistician at Statistics Norway.
