Born in Gitega and now based in Kayanza, Séraphine is a distinguished entrepreneur and community leader renowned for her unwavering commitment to economic development, resilience, and empowerment. Her journey began with academic excellence in Bukeye, followed by a transformative exchange program in the Philippines, where she honed her leadership skills. Returning to Burundi, she partnered with French aid organisations to improve child nutrition, demonstrating her passion for social impact. She later founded a thriving business during one of Burundi’s most challenging economic periods, showcasing her entrepreneurial acumen and determination.
Séraphines inspiring story of perseverance, integrity, and collaborative leadership has earned her deep respect within Burundi’s business and civic communities. Her impactful initiatives include Blockhomes Burundi, which promotes sustainable housing, the Power One electrification project, and reforestation efforts through One Heart Burundi, all reflecting her dedication to long-term community progress.
In her new role, Séraphine will lead the implementation and growth of MSTRpays ecosystem, which includes mobile banking, microloans (MSTRcash), decentralised financial services, and secure payment solutions. Her deep understanding of Burundi’s cultural and economic landscape, combined with her proven track record in fostering partnerships, positions her to drive MSTRpays operations and build strategic alliances across the region.
