Jakarta / International — MSTRpay confirms that its ASEAN representative, Mr. Azhar Zulkifli, recently held an informal, non-official meeting with Joko Widodo, former President of the Republic of Indonesia, during a visit to the country.
The meeting was conversational in nature and did not constitute any formal government engagement. During the discussion, Mr. Zulkifli provided a high-level introduction to the MSTRpay ecosystem, including:
• the MSTRpay digital payments platform,
• MSTRcash, focused on microfinance and financial inclusion,
• the MSTRphone concept as a device-based access and distribution channel, and
• MSTRpay’s long-term interest in locally compliant, partnership-based operations in Indonesia.
Mr. Widodo, who currently serves as an advisor to the sitting President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, was informed at an awareness level about MSTRpay’s business model and its strategic focus on emerging markets.
It is further noted that Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Vice President of Indonesia and son of Mr. Widodo, has also received information regarding MSTRpay and its ecosystem.
No commitments, representations, or follow-up obligations were made by any party. The interaction should be understood as early-stage relationship-building and contextual introduction, aligned with MSTRpay’s exploratory work in Indonesia ahead of potential future engagements with regulated financial institutions and cooperative partners.
This interaction increases general awareness of MSTRpay at a senior political level, but does not constitute endorsement, facilitation, or initiation of any governmental or regulatory process. All future steps in Indonesia remain subject to standard partner due diligence, regulatory approvals, and Board authorization.
