Dominika has already hit the ground running, bringing full speed and enthusiasm to her new role. She exemplifies strong entrepreneurship, drive, and a passion for tackling challenges in dynamic environments. With roots in Poland and a family history in shoe manufacturing, she moved to Switzerland to pursue an education in brand and design management. Following her graduation, she successfully developed the “Pluska” brand, specializing in high-quality, sustainable handbags. Her collection, entirely designed by her and produced in her workshop in Poland, has been showcased in Zürich, Vienna, Warsaw, and London during Fashion Week and featured in several fashion and lifestyle magazines. This venture provided her with extensive hands-on experience in branding and marketing.
Pluska always leads projects aligned with at least one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In her work, she emphasizes positive environmental and social impacts. Her engagement has been recognized by national and international foundations such as ProHelvetia in Switzerland and the Green Product Award in Germany.
She also has vast experience in service design and design thinking methodologies. In 2019, she founded and managed LAUNCHLABS Krakow, a design thinking lab affiliated with LAUNCHLABS Basel and LAUNCHLABS Berlin. During her tenure, she led numerous workshops and provided consultation to corporations on adopting an end-user-centered approach. Pluska is an advocate for collecting insights through primary research involving interviews and observations. She believes that it is essential to understand end-user problems and needs to create effective products and services, stating, “It is nearly impossible to create a good product or service without knowing the end user’s problems and needs. We need to understand them first to bring a desirable solution.”
