Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) reveals that the number of issuers that had been listed on the stock exchange board until December 9, 2022, had reached 58 companies, the highest in the history of IDX.
From all companies that conducted their initial public offerings (IPO) in 2022, the stock exchange recorded total raised funds of IDR 32.7 trillion. It has even yet to count the funds collected in the upcoming public listing of PT Venteny Fortuna International Tbk (VTNY) on December 15, 2022.
“Once VTNY’s shares were listed on IDX, the total number of issuers that have listed their shares in the stock exchange in 2022 clock up to 59 companies, increasing 9% from 54 issuers in 2021 and even exceeding the previous highest record of IDX in
2018 of 57 issuers,” I Gede Nyoman Yetna, Director of Company Appraisal of IDX, claimed, as quoted by Investor Daily.
On top of this, 43 companies are still sitting in IDX’s IPO pipeline. Most of them are categorised under the consumer cyclicals sector, followed by the technology, energy, and property sectors.
Furthermore, there have been reportedly several changes in the public listing schedule of issuers, considering 2022 is coming to an end
