Thousands of Russians have left Russia since the regime began the mobilization of the country. The flow of people has been most noticeable at the Finnish border, where around 17,000 people crossed over.
But the outflow of Russians is also visible in Georgia and Mongolia. Images from the satellite company Maxar Technologies from this weekend show long queues of cars on the Russian side of the Georgian border. More than 3,000 vehicles were queuing there on Sunday and the wait to cross was 48 hours.
Since the invasion of Ukraine began, around 40,000 Russian citizens have made their way to the Georgian capital Tbilisi, writes Reuters.
There must also be queues at the border crossings to Mongolia. Several thousand Russians are said to have applied there since the middle of last week, writes AFP.
