Israel’s UN ambassador Gilad Erdan demanded the resignation of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday, writes Haaretz.
This after Guterres said during the day that Hamas attacks “did not occur in a vacuum” and that the Palestinians had been subjected to 56 years of oppression.
There is no point in talking to those who show understanding for the terrible acts committed against Israeli citizens – not least by a terrorist organization, says Gilad Erdan, who previously called Guterres completely “disconnected from the reality of our region”.
